Nestled in the meadows below the High Tatras, each home offers unparalleled mountain views in all directions.

Outside, the 5000 acres of pristine alpine landscapes buffer onto the High Tatra National Park ensuring privacy and the chance to explore nature from your doorstep. Inside Scandinavian designers have combined 5 star facilities with the feeling of a home away from home.

Light a fire in the fireplace, open a bottle of wine and watch the sun set behind the mountains. The choice is entirely up to you. Welcome to chalet Medovka.

Immerse yourself in wilderness

The chalet Medovka is located in the middle of pristine wilderness of the High Tatras National Park. The estate takes its name from the mountain which guards the visitors of the valley - Mt. Krivan, the national symbol and protector of Slovakia.

Chalet Medovka is located in a remote location and therefore guarantees perfect privacy. The area is a habitat to many protected animal and plant species, many of which only live in this part of the world. If you’re lucky, you might witness an eagle hunt, or have a family of deer come for a visit.

The closest airports are Poprad (30 minutes) and Košice (90 minutes).

Have it your way

Chalet Medovka in cooperation with The Krivan Estate offers plethora of horseback riding, hiking, and biking options.

The finest horse riding trails are available, with our horses stabled just 3 km south of your lodge. Beginners welcome. Mountain bikes are available on request at your chalet and hikes for all levels are just outside. If you’re feeling adventurous, climb Mt. Krivan starting at your doorstep. In the winter, you may explore the country on skis, or choose to spend your day in one of the nearby ski resorts (Štrbské pleso, Tatranská Lomnica, Jasná) or other wintertime attractions in the area.

"The place reminds me of a French chalet in the alps and is not like any other mountain cottage we could find in the High Tatras, very high quality finishes. I'll definitely be taking the kids there again."

"I booked the chalet for 3 weeks, worried it was too long. But it is a beautiful location, where my favorite activity was to sit on the sofa and watch the sunset and mountains through those huge windows. I recommend biking down to the horse riding with Michael. The rides are fantastic and you can then put the bikes in the car and drive them back up to the chalet. The kids loved biking down to the farm to feed the sheep."
